Matt Long Scores NDRA Weekly Win at Carolina Speedway
Gastonia, North Carolina - Matt Long and his GazZu Energy Drink Race Team broke into victory lane on Friday night for the first time this season. Long’s triumph came in an NDRA GM Perfomance Late Model Weekly Racing Series event at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, North Carolina. Long led every lap in picking up the win over Gary Puckett, Greg Barker, Jordan Anderson and Kyle Pierce. Long also captured a top ten among a loaded field the following night in I-77 (Chester, SC) Speedway’s GazZu 50. “We finally got some luck to go our way. The car was absolutely flawless on Friday night and very good on Saturday. Integra Shocks and Rocket has really got us pointed back in the right direction. Hopefully we can keep it going.” Long said of his weekend.
Long and the GazZu Team will return to Carolina on Friday night for a $1000 to win NDRA Weekly event and then move over to Antioch Speedway in Morganton, North Carolina on Saturday for the second stop on the NDRA Touring schedule worth $3000 to win.
